Sweet Expectations is a custom bakery based in New Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand that operates from an Auckland Council "A" grade certified kitchen. Our motto ""Baked in the heart with love" reflects our passion for the food we trust you will love our food as well. For more information about us, see the about page.

Staff

Sweet Expectations is run by Tessa Clement (Formerly Tessa Shoebridge), an NZQA qualified pastry chef with City and Guilds qualifications who has been in the food industry for a long time and has successfully competed at the Salon Culinare in pastry so has a wide knowledge of baked goods.Sweet Expectations Logo Tessa has a passion for quality baking and part of that passion makes her choose to compete on quality, not price. She insists on making everything from scratch in her kitchen using only free range eggs and real New Zealand butter in her products. Everything is always made by hand. All the food Sweet Expectations makes is vegetarian, with gluten free, egg free, vegan, and "pure veg" options available. She is very aware of people with food allergies and is more than happy to make to your specific needs. Whilst some nuts are used in some of the products, there is never anything made with peanuts or kiwifruit.

Retail

Currently we are selling though Auckland markets. Please see the outlets page for locations and days.

Custom

We can bake for your one-off or recurring event to your requirements. Recently we made an order of 112 custom decorated cupcakes for a theme party.  We can make small orders or cakes for special occasions be it a birthday or something else.
